KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Formulate account sales strategies in collaboration with management, targeting a minimum of 30 key accounts.
  • Identify potential clients and devise sales tactics to secure new business. This may involve sales outreach, competitive assessments, coordinating presentations and proposals, in-office demonstrations, direct mail initiatives, and follow-up activities.
  • Conduct sales outreach to prospects, as well as active and inactive accounts, both independently and alongside branch staff and management as prioritized by leadership.
  • Serve as the primary sales representative for designated target accounts, responsible for developing the account strategy.
  • Collaborate with branch and corporate teams to enhance product knowledge necessary for closing sales and implementing solutions.
  • Facilitate the sales closure process to reduce the sales cycle duration and ensure that sales objectives are achieved.
  • Analyze client requirements to determine how Surge Staffing's products and services can address their needs and resolve challenges.
  • Establish connections within the business community, actively participating in local networking events to enhance brand visibility and recognition.
  • Document all business and sales activities in the company database and complete necessary activity reports.
  • Respond promptly to all customer and prospect inquiries and requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to ensure the effective operation of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in business development is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in outside direct sales, including developing sales strategies, consultative selling, and conducting cold calls.
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced, highly competitive environment with basic math skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as needed.
  • Strong leadership abilities, initiative, and creativity to identify and communicate effective techniques.
  • Capability to work collaboratively with team members as well as independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Team-oriented, patient, and composed under pressure.
  • Proven ability to deliver results autonomously while adhering to company guidelines and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
