Job Summary:

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a highly skilled Field Maintenance Specialist to support our MK 41 VLS customers. As a Field Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational status of contracted VLS work is completed to required procedures and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, install, maintain, and repair electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment.
  • Work with the GDIT VLS Team to identify and correct any deficiencies found.
  • Collaborate with a competitive and highly trusted GDIT VLS Team to ensure the Fleet and Program are maintained to the highest levels.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of related USN Shipboard MK 41 VLS Shipboard maintenance experience.
  • Ability to assist in the Removal, Overhaul, Test, and/or Installation VLS Cell Hatches, Uptake Hatches, Deluge Valves, Deluge Hoses, Marotta Valves, Hy-Check Valves, Root and Isolation System Valves under direction supervision of qualified VLS System Maintenance Technician (SMT) or Test Director (TD) in accordance with NAVSEA requirements, Navy MRCs, VLS Authorized Procedures, and Technical Manuals.
  • Security Clearance Level: Secret. Must have or be able to obtain both a security clearance and a DBIDS/CAC.
  • Solving, Communication, Microsoft Word and Excel, and understanding of basic Hand/Power Tools, Test Equipment and Gauge Calibration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MK-41 VLS NEC 0981 is desired, but not required.
