Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Principal or Senior Principal Survivability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions to reduce the detectability of aircraft in the electromagnetic, infrared, visual, and acoustic spectrums.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop cutting-edge technology to reduce the detectability of aircraft
- Predict and verify the performance of designs using proprietary analysis codes
- Optimize designs for stealth while meeting the requirements of other engineering disciplines
- Take responsibility for achieving customer goals and balancing designs in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations and diverse assignments
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military engineering experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of related professional/military engineering experience
- Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience using the latest classified cutting-edge technology
- Experience with Northrop Grumman proprietary computational electromagnetic analysis codes or similar computational electromagnetic analysis codes used by competitors or customers
- Masters degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field
- Current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
- Knowledge of applied electromagnetics, aircraft survivability, and comprehensive understanding of electromagnetic energy transmission through space and within materials
