Cafeteria Assistant

The Wattsburg Area School District is seeking a Cafeteria Assistant to support our food service team. This role involves working in the kitchen during the school year, primarily from 9:00AM to 1:30PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with meal preparation, including cutting vegetables, portioning fruit, and making sandwiches.
  • Ensure all kitchen areas and equipment are clean and sanitary.
  • Serve students breakfast and lunch meals with a pleasant demeanor.
  • Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some experience in food preparation and service preferred.
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff.

Required Clearances:

  • Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances
  • Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training
  • Act 168 Sexual Abuse/Misconduct Disclosure

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend and walk as necessary to move around the kitchen.
  • Ability to lift and carry items as necessary in the kitchen.
