Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

This advanced professional role, under the guidance of a Psychiatrist and Program Manager, focuses on delivering treatment services aimed at supporting individuals with mental health challenges through the prescription of psychotropic medications to help stabilize their conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Psychiatric Nursing with a valid Florida ARNP license.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is essential to cater to a diverse clientele.
  • Adeptness in reading, analyzing, and interpreting various business documents, professional journals, and communications from consumers and employees.
  • Current DEA license is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office-based, within a healthcare setting. Most tasks are performed while seated at a desk utilizing standard office equipment.
  • Fast-paced environment emphasizing teamwork. Requires exceptional time management skills for effective multitasking.
  • Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Conducting diagnostic assessments for patients experiencing mental health disorders.
  • Managing medication clinics, overseeing and adjusting drug therapies, and initiating and maintaining appropriate treatment protocols in line with established guidelines.
  • Ensuring thorough documentation of clinical services provided and maintaining current clinical records, utilizing the electronic medical record and electronic prescribing systems mandated by the agency.
  • Coordinating clinical treatment services with fellow clinicians and support staff, providing consultations and referrals as necessary.
  • Reviewing and approving treatment plans; performing peer reviews upon request.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development through in-service training, workshops, conferences, and self-directed learning to stay informed about relevant knowledge applicable to the role.
  • Executing additional responsibilities as assigned by the medical director.

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Adhering to all relevant federal, state, local, and company-specific compliance standards, ethical guidelines, and policies regarding the administration and delivery of agency services.
  • Meeting established deadlines, requirements, and expectations set by supervisors and the agency.
  • Completing administrative tasks and data entry accurately and promptly.
