Job Title: Phlebotomist - Coos Bay

Department: Lab

Reports To: Lab Manager

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday (hours may vary), 40 hours per week/Full time w/Benefits

North Bend Medical Center is currently hiring a Phlebotomist in Coos Bay, Oregon. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our lab team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect patient specimens for clinical analysis, including blood, body fluid, and cultures
  • Perform venipunctures using various techniques
  • Obtain culture specimens from various sources
  • Instruct patients on proper collection of off-site specimens
  • Research specimen requirements for referred tests
  • Inventory and requisition phlebotomy supplies
  • Print patient billing information
  • Attend and actively participate in department meetings

Requirements:

  • Ability and skill required to manage difficult situations
  • Ability to maintain professional attitude and appearance
  • Ability to do multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment
  • Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated
