The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Surveyor III to join our team. As a CAD Surveyor III, you will be responsible for preparing boundary and topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, subdivision plats, parcel and easement descriptions, and tree inventory surveys. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare CAD drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform research and gather data for new and ongoing projects
  • Process and interpret survey data collected in the field
  • Create and interpret 3D surface models
  • Read and interpret property legal descriptions, easements, and plats
  • Understand construction plans and general construction principles
  • Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records
  • Collaborate with planners, project managers, and engineers regarding projects
  • Interact daily with field crews and provide direction and support for ongoing projects

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of survey-related AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center
  • MicroStation and ArcGIS experience preferred
  • Associate's degree in a land surveying-related field and/or formal CAD training preferred
  • Land Surveyor In Training preferred
  • General knowledge of field survey procedures and equipment
  • Previous survey field crew experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Earth Pro

Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment
  • Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
