Surgical Technologist Job Description

Surgical technologists play a vital role in the operating room, assisting surgeons and medical professionals in providing high-quality patient care. As a surgical technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients, rooms, and equipment for surgical procedures, as well as assisting with those procedures as part of a team of operating room professionals.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a surgical setting
  • Ability to scrub in for eye and total joint surgeries
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions will be reviewed)
  • Two supervisory references and skills checklist required
Certification Requirements
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NBSTSA
Work Schedule

1 weekend call per 6-week schedule
