Wilmot Inc, a premier sustainability consulting company, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Utility Engineer to join the East Bank Program Management Team (EBPMT) in Nashville, TN. This individual will coordinate utilities in relation to transportation and civil-site projects from design phase through construction, supporting the EBPMT, PM, Deputy PM for Engineering, project managers, and task/discipline leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate and coordinate with utility companies, project teams, and the EBPMT to develop utility infrastructure within the East Bank.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of utility coordination efforts and delivery and receipt of documentation.
  • Review and track utility agreements and memoranda of agreements between utility companies and the Client.
  • Coordinate with utility companies to obtain, review, and maintain utility-specific documentation.
  • Review and track utility-specific cost estimates applicable to the Client.
  • Review utility design plans for compliance with applicable utility company requirements, contract requirements, and utility agreements.
  • Review project design plans for utility conflicts and ability to develop/evaluate feasible alternatives for mitigation.
  • Review utility reports and applicable data specific to proposed project designs.
  • Review and provide feedback on specifications and contract documents.
  • Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Participate in regular program and project coordination meetings.
  • Review and/or oversee the development of utility plans, specifications, and estimates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' related experience.
  • Professional Engineer in Tennessee (or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months).
  • Live within the greater Nashville area.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and participate in field visits as needed.
  • Experience with CADD (MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.) a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported.
  • Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
