Job Title: LVNLPN Long Term Care Night Shift Nurse

We are seeking a skilled LVNLPN Long Term Care Night Shift Nurse to join our team at Della Infotech, Inc.

Job Summary:

The LVNLPN Long Term Care Night Shift Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. This includes administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing emotional support to residents and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies and procedures.
  • Prepare equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of residents.
  • Observe residents, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor, physician, and family of resident's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
  • Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.
  • Assigns duties and coordinates nursing services on the resident unit to ensure resident needs are met in accordance with instructions of Physician, federal and state regulations, and facility procedures.
  • Consults with Shift Supervisor on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Report all complaints or unusual problems to supervisor. Assist with completion of facility complaint report.
  • Participates in orientation and training and evaluating of nursing personnel.
  • Evaluates nursing activities to ensure resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
  • Assigns duties and coordinates nursing service on the resident unit.
  • Observes nursing care and visits residents to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment administered in accordance with Physician's instructions.
  • Assumes responsibility and maintains records for unit narcotics.
  • Inspects resident rooms and the unit for cleanliness and comfort.
  • Responsible to document admissions, discharges, transfers, and incident reports per facility policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the care plan process, completes nursing assessments, and resident care plans accurately and timely on assigned residents.
  • Completes special projects and audits at the direction of the Supervisor, CCC, or Director of Nursing.
  • Maintain all educational requirements for the State of Michigan to keep license current. Attend facility in-services and ward conferences as assigned.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect; know and comply with all Resident's Rights rules; and promptly report all resident accidents and injuries to charge nurse.
  • Must have regular and attendance.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 2+ Years Experience - Required
  • Travel experience required
  • BLS (AHA or ARC) - Required
  • Covid Vaccine - Strongly encouraged (if declining, mandated to wear a mask)
  • Clinician MUST be able & willing to work the set schedule created by the Facility. BLOCK scheduling cannot be accommodated at this time
  • MUST have completed at least '1' successful assignment with submitting agency (note on work history)
Agency Submitting Requirements:
  • Work History including explanation of any gaps in employment surpassing 3+ months
  • Skills checklist for pertinent specialty
  • At least 1 supervisor reference from within the previous two years --- 2nd MUST be obtained prior/during onboarding ---
  • MI LPN license
  • Applicable certifications... if required per the submittal/certification requirements
  • COVID vaccination card, if applicable
Certification Requirements:
  • BLS (AHA)
State License Requirements:
  • Michigan
Weekend Requirements:

Every Other Weekend/Holiday Rotation
