Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Lead to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for leading production assembly and inspection associates at our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop lower-level team members to achieve manufacturing objectives
  • Supervise the day-to-day workflow of subordinate non-exempt workers who assemble component parts
  • Acquire capable production staff and cross-train staff to meet process center schedules
  • Assign work within process centers to meet schedule, cost, quality, and cycle time objectives
  • Ensure employee motivation, counseling, and discipline
  • Ensure training certifications are up to date for employees
  • Measure employee performance and provide performance input for salary planning
  • Review production schedules, material, and manpower resources to assign employees
  • Inform assigned employees of production and material problems and coordinate with support groups to resolve issues
  • Participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes
  • Maintain reports, records, and production documentation
  • Monitor budget performance and take action to correct anomalies
