Exciting Career Opportunity for a Project Manager in the Cement and Mining Sector
Titan America is on the lookout for a proficient Project Manager to enhance their vibrant team within the Corporate Engineering division. This essential position, reporting directly to the Director of Engineering for Capital Projects, entails leading initiatives in Cement, Fly Ash, Ready Mixed Concrete, Block Plants, and Aggregates. The role is based at the Titan Cement Plant.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform feasibility assessments and provide cost-effective engineering solutions, ensuring maximum return on investment for the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering and consulting firms for the design and permitting of new projects.
- Work closely with procurement teams for the acquisition of equipment and management of construction activities.
- Analyze bids with an emphasis on Life Cycle Costs and engineering dependability.
- Supervise construction, installation, commissioning, and startup operations.
- Deliver regular updates on project progress and address issues related to quality, budget, and timelines.
- Travel across Titan America operations to oversee tasks for extended durations away from the main office.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering.
- Have a minimum of ten years of Project Management experience in industrial environments, particularly in cement or aggregates.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Project Management software.
- Familiarity with BIM 360 and Navisworks is a plus.
- Have a solid understanding of cement manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Experience in heavy industrial sectors such as steel, asphalt, or mining is advantageous.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and a dedication to continuous improvement.
- Maintain a Safety Mindset and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Professional Engineer certification and Project Manager credentials are desirable.
