Project Manager III

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Project Manager III, you'll play a critical role in driving the success of our New Glenn launch vehicle program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of the New Glenn first stage subsystems and modules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, procurement, operations, and test engineers, to ensure seamless integration and testing of the launch vehicle.
  • Manage key program metrics, including budget, schedule, and resource allocation, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, develop mitigation plans, and drive to an acceptable level.
  • Communicate project status, critical paths, challenges, and recommended solutions to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Operations Management.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in program management and business management in a development environment.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary development projects, including managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with project management tools, such as MS Project, P6 Primavera, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large amounts of data.
  • Self-starter with a bias for action and a passion for space exploration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or systems engineering.
  • Experience with launch vehicle development, production, and operations.
  • Strong business management skills and experience managing large, geographically dispersed programs with large subcontractors.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and resources-loaded schedules.
