Medicine Administration Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Medicine Administration Specialist to join our team at Genesis Healthcare, Inc. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
As a Medicine Administration Specialist, you will work under the direction of a licensed nurse to administer medications and medicated creams within established standards of practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and administering routine and PRN medications to patients as prescribed by physicians and documenting administration according to policy.
- Maintaining medication supplies, cleaning and restocking medicine carts and the medicine room.
- Notifying the pharmacy of new medication orders and refills.
- Performing accurate vital sign monitoring when indicated by drug therapy.
The ideal candidate will have successful completion of a state-approved medication aide training course, a certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification with one year of experience as a CNA, and excellent communication skills. The salary for this role is estimated to be between $19.75 and $22.75 per hour, based on the location in Brooklyn Park, MN.
