Overview:
Join a team of dedicated professionals at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where Laboratory Specialists are pushing the boundaries of science and healthcare.

Role Summary:
As a Lead Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our Hematology department within the Central Laboratory. Your expertise will be essential in conducting patient tests, interpreting results, and ensuring quality control measures are met.

In this advanced position, you will not only perform laboratory tests but also oversee and coordinate the activities of laboratory staff, working closely with the Lead Technologist and Laboratory Supervisor.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement, allowing you to take on supervisory responsibilities while continuing to engage in hands-on laboratory work.

The position involves 8-hour shifts, with start times ranging from early morning to late morning, Monday through Friday, including rotating weekends and holidays.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASCP certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent experience
  • New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure

Note for New Hires:

New hires pending a Clinical Laboratory Technologist license must obtain the license within 6 months of employment.

Salary Range:
$97,000-$132,300/Annual
