About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy. As part of our North America Grid Integration Business Unit, you will be responsible for leading the development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles and have experience in control and protection panel design. You will also be skilled in evaluating sub-suppliers and selecting vendors based on project requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing electrical engineering solutions for complex projects.
  • Liaising with customers, officials, contractors, and supply chain to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Ensuring compliance with National Electric Code and ANSI/IEEE requirements.
  • Evaluating and selecting vendors based on project requirements.

Requirements:

  • BS/M.Sc./Ph.D in Electrical Engineering.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code and ANSI/IEEE requirements.
  • Knowledge of FACTS or HV transmission substation solutions is preferred.
  • Experience in Control and Protection panel design is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relay configuration is a plus.
  • Experience with E3 is a plus.

Estimated Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per annum.
