The VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychologist to fill the role of Intimate Partner Violence Coordinator. This position is a critical part of our team, responsible for addressing the complex needs of Veterans with behavioral issues related to intimate partner violence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized psychological services to patients experiencing intimate partner violence and substance abuse disorders.
- Conduct clinically indicated evaluations and provide IPV consultation for outpatient and inpatient populations.
- Develop and implement a full range of therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy, group therapy, and psycho-education classes.
- Provide prevention services to clients at risk of developing problems related to intimate partner violence.
- Collaborate with significant others/support systems to aid in the facilitation of client treatment with permission from the client.
- Attend regularly scheduled treatment team meetings to ensure efficiency and continuity of service delivery.
- Design and implement ongoing program evaluation and data-driven quality improvement projects to monitor the effectiveness of the program.
- Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
- Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- At least one year of experience as a professional psychologist equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11).
