Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Clinical Pharmacist, your role is crucial in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients and healthcare providers. The Clinical Pharmacist assesses and monitors prescribed therapies to promote optimal drug utilization and evidence-based practices, minimizing the risks of medication errors. - Engage daily with your pharmacy team, nurses, physicians, and other facility staff, addressing conflicts between pharmacy and medical staff regarding medication therapy issues.
- Provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dosage adjustments, order laboratory tests, and monitor medications according to established policies and procedures.
- Participate in the training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students, and technicians.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor of Science or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
- One year of acute care hospital experience.
This role requires full vaccination for COVID-19 based on local, state, and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
