Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Proceduralist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient care, including preparing patients for procedures and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Perform routine and complex medical assistant clinical duties, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and collecting specimens.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including assembling supplies and equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Assist with patient transportation and positioning for procedures, and provide physical comfort and safety during the procedure.
  • Observe patients for potential symptoms and report any changes to the medical team.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of sterile technique and infection control procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certificate in medical assisting from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
