Role Overview: In the capacity of Mechanical Engineering Team Leader, you will spearhead the mechanical engineering initiatives within a dedicated team focused on hardware development for our clientele.Your role will involve collaborating with a product architect and cross-disciplinary leaders to establish the product baseline and guide your mechanical engineering team from initial concept through to ongoing production.
As a manager, you will oversee team development and fulfill all managerial responsibilities, including career progression, performance evaluations, and compensation strategies.
Working alongside the Mechanical Engineering Director, you will contribute to a compact team aimed at ensuring consistency and execution across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:- Lead the mechanical engineering execution for a designated product line.
- Provide technical guidance across the mechanical engineering division and enhance internal processes.
- Collaborate with product leadership to establish the technical foundation and program priorities.
- Foster and represent your team's culture.
- Engage consistently with teams across Anduril, including product and mechanical engineering leadership.
- Deliver engineering outputs that meet key milestones and objectives set by product leadership.
- Assess and prioritize tasks essential for supporting product development.
- Advance products for large-scale manufacturing and production.
- Communicate strategies proactively to manage expectations and address risks promptly.
- Work collaboratively with various teams, including electrical engineering, software engineering, flight systems, production operations, and product leadership.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 8 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong comprehension of the principles behind vehicle and systems design.
- Experience with mission-critical Department of Defense systems.
- Must possess U.S. Person Status for access to export-controlled data.
- Proven ability to create and unify teams around a shared vision.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Aptitude for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across diverse technical domains.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with defense, national security, or aerospace sectors through professional or academic experience.
- Experience or interest in utilizing visual design tools for idea communication.
- Experience in leading projects from development through to manufacturing and sustainment.
- Experience with Department of Defense product certification processes.
- Over 8 years of relevant experience in the design or analysis of aerospace structures or subsystems.
