POSITION SUMMARY
The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is tasked with the installation and repair of machinery. This role demands a proactive approach to ensure optimal performance of equipment, with a strong focus on safety and adherence to quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safety Adherence:
    • Implement and uphold all safety regulations and practices.
    • Facilitate training and communication regarding safety-related tasks.
  • Mechanical Diagnostics:
    • Utilize foundational mechanical knowledge to identify and resolve equipment issues in designated areas.
    • Adjust and operate machinery as required.
  • Repair and Replacement:
    • Skilled in the repair or replacement of faulty components using original equipment or equivalent parts.
    • Assess used components to determine necessary modifications.
  • Functional Part Movement:
    • Handle the positioning of specialized functional and structural components in machinery.
  • Production Line Initiation:
    • Actively participate in the start-up processes of production lines as needed.
    • Engage in meetings related to production, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and operational areas.
  • Lubrication and Maintenance:
    • Recognize and implement safe cleaning protocols for machinery and parts.
    • Knowledgeable in appropriate lubrication techniques, including the correct types of lubricants for specific equipment.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Exhibit proficiency in one or more of the following areas: Electrical systems, Electronics, Machining, Welding, Fabrication.
    • Familiarity with SAP for managing work orders, locating parts, and requisitioning supplies.
  • Electrical Proficiency:
    • Capable of working with various voltage levels and managing electrical wiring and repairs.
    • Certified in Electrical Safety Training, Lockout/Tagout, and live work protocols.
    • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot circuits and motors.
  • Work Area Management:
    • Maintain the maintenance workspace in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities concurrently.
    • Operate various lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Work autonomously while demonstrating professionalism in interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Basic mechanical skills and knowledge are essential.
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems is required.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
