Leadership Role in Pediatric Rehabilitation

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami Leonard M.

Miller School of Medicine is in search of an accomplished academic physiatrist and leader at the rank of Associate Professor or higher, with a focus on both inpatient and outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation to join our esteemed department.

The selected candidate will deliver clinical services at a newly established pediatric orthopedic center, collaborating closely with UHealth and affiliated hospitals.

This position will be supported by an endowment aimed at creating a dual role as Chief of Pediatric Rehabilitation and Vice Chair of Pediatric Rehabilitation within the Executive Committee of the Department of PM&R at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

The primary duties of this role will encompass leading the growth of the inpatient pediatric rehabilitation unit, providing comprehensive clinical care, expanding outpatient pediatric rehabilitation services, and spearheading the development of the pediatric rehabilitation division through the recruitment of clinical faculty, educators, and researchers.

This position also offers opportunities for teaching medical students and residents, with the potential to establish a Pediatric Rehabilitation Fellowship.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in leadership within pediatric rehabilitation services, a proven record of scholarly contributions, and experience in research within the field.
