Fire Testing Specialist

RCG Moody International Limited c/- Intertek, a prominent provider of quality assurance and safety solutions for many of the world's leading brands, is currently seeking a Fire Testing Specialist to enhance our Building and Construction division. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct tests and assessments on various construction products within the laboratory environment.
  • Research and implement innovative testing methodologies and protocols.
  • Provide training and support to new team members as necessary.
  • Establish and estimate basic testing plans for standardized fire testing methods.
  • Review contract specifications thoroughly and document any discrepancies.
  • Inform clients of potential additional costs prior to incurring them.
  • Coordinate with project and department managers to optimize testing schedules and equipment usage for enhanced efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding test preparations, procedures, results, and reporting.
  • Draft test protocols as required and secure necessary approvals.
  • Prepare and submit precise and comprehensive reports for all assigned projects.
  • Manage invoicing for all projects.
  • Assist in the construction and deconstruction of mock-up test assemblies.
  • Prepare specimens of varying sizes for testing.
  • Support client product installations when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • General experience in construction is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment utilized in building construction.
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Willingness to perform tasks at heights up to 40 feet, including bending and climbing.
  • Flexibility to travel as required by business needs, including occasional overnight trips.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable driving record are mandatory.
