Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Develop and verify intricate structural engineering outputs, including calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to review and coordinate technical documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports addressing specific design challenges.
- Oversee assigned project activities to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Participate in constructability assessments to enhance project feasibility.
- Support construction efforts by addressing field change requests and nonconformance reports.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering their professional growth.
- Organize and manage off-project review processes for engineering deliverables.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is required.
- Ability to obtain a site security badge for worksite access.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Nuclear Quality and Safety Environment.
- Capability to secure a U.S. Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Proficiency in the detailed design of complex steel and concrete structures.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards.
- Familiarity with structural analysis software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on clarity and precision.
