Position Overview

Theoria Medical seeks a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our team of physicians in providing exceptional care to patients in skilled nursing facilities across the country. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our facilities, ensuring high-quality patient care, and collaborating with our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage resident care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate in monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide guidance to facility staff
  • Review and revise facility clinical guidelines as needed
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Supervise facility clinical staff and provide training as needed

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day-to-day resident care
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services by rounding on patients residing in SNFs
  • Diagnose and treat patients with acute illness, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes

Requirements

  • Must be able to utilize electronic/online medical tools, such as EHR systems and state/county medical systems
  • Must be able to lead the charge in healthcare innovation and drive change in the post-acute and primary care sectors
