Position Overview:

SAIC, a prominent provider of systems development and deployment, intelligence analysis, systems engineering, and integration services, is in search of a Systems Engineer for the Program Management Office. This role involves delivering systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services to the United States Government (USG).

As a SETA contractor, you will engage in analytical and engineering services in a consulting role, collaborating closely with government engineering personnel.

This client is tasked with the design, construction, and operation of national security systems across various domains, including space, air, and terrestrial environments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical oversight for the development of radiation-hardened microelectronics and advanced computing technologies.
  • Offer technical support by monitoring and suggesting pertinent technical initiatives.
  • Research and present insights on the latest technological advancements in microelectronics, fabrication, packaging, and high-performance computing architectures, providing recommendations to guide group strategies.
  • Engage with various government entities to comprehend technical requirements and derive specifications for future technology roadmaps and programs.
  • Support diverse advancements in electronic device technologies, including heterogeneous integration and photonics.
  • Conduct systems engineering analyses and create supporting documentation for microelectronics and high-performance computing initiatives.
  • Learn and utilize associated tools for tasking, planning, research, and data routing within the microelectronics program.
  • Assist in drafting statements of work and other acquisition documentation.
  • Support source selection processes and analyze developer deliverables, including periodic reports and technical documentation.
  • Provide project administration support, encompassing management, technical, and financial aspects.
  • Document outcomes for dissemination across all levels of decision-making authority.

Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience, or 12 years with a Master’s degree.

Essential skills include:

  • Fundamental knowledge of integrated circuits.
  • Ability to articulate technical issues clearly and effectively.
  • Capability to execute tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Active participation in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competence in generating and evaluating technical documents and reports.
  • Willingness to provide occasional surge support.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
