We offer a supportive working environment for animal enthusiasts who want to gain experience in positive reinforcement dog walking and cat care. The starting hourly wage is $17.
Our fully-paid training program ensures you're prepared to confidently handle up to three dogs while navigating walkups, elevators, and busy urban parks.
As a primary walker, you'll have a set, walkable daily route with small group dog walks. This means you'll have the same happy customers waiting for you each day.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be available Monday - Friday 11am - 3pm with some weekends and evenings expected
- Provide exceptional customer service with a personal touch, including check-in owner emails after each walk
- Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's dogs
- Follow team and client-provided care instructions, including training preferences
- Contribute to the team effort by working as a team player
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for animal care while ensuring their safety
- Enjoy an active work environment, working outdoors regardless of weather conditions
