We are seeking a skilled Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team at Tolunay-Wong Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine construction monitoring, field and/or laboratory tests. You will prepare and transport samples and reports, and perform non-technical functions and office tasks under close supervision of higher level technicians or supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field and laboratory tests on construction materials, including soils, concrete, and asphalt.
- Transport samples to the laboratory for processing and testing.
- Identify and maintain the identification of all materials samples throughout each testing process.
- Support field and laboratory personnel as needed to complete tasks.
- Maintain a clean work area and equipment.
- Assist other technicians or professional staff as needed.
- Retain information and knowledge to continue growing with our company.
- Adhere to quality policies and procedures, and encourage the improvement of these policies through participation in near miss and safety audit programs.
- 0-6 months of experience.
- Ability to lift and work outside for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
