Sewer Maintenance Technician Apprentice

We are seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Sewer Maintenance Technician Apprentice within a prominent municipal water and wastewater organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately execute both written and verbal instructions.
  • Employ various hand and power tools for maintenance and repair operations.
  • Engage in preventive maintenance activities for equipment.
  • Participate in on-call duty rotations to address emergency situations beyond standard working hours.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery, including front-end loaders and dump trucks.
  • Represent the organization positively in all professional interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills and Competencies:

  • Capable of performing various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and transporting heavy items.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and be exposed to environmental challenges.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 90 lbs as required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying work hours for emergency response.
  • Proficient in utilizing a range of tools for multiple tasks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
