ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Cleaning Services Associate, you will undertake a diverse range of cleaning tasks, including both deep and general cleaning, as well as restocking necessary supplies. Your deep cleaning responsibilities will encompass areas such as resident accommodations, communal spaces, administrative offices, nursing stations, security areas, kitchen zones, staff lounges, and transportation vehicles. General cleaning duties will involve mopping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing, dusting, sweeping, and buffing various surfaces, including floors, walls, windows, handrails, elevators, resident rooms, and furniture in common areas. Additionally, you will be responsible for replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and cleaning agents as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with rotating days and weekends, including a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Salary: The starting salary may be non-negotiable in certain cases.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory):

  • Willingness to work in various shifts.
  • Experience in custodial roles, janitorial services, or cleaning positions.
  • Prior work experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or healthcare settings.
  • Experience interacting with residents or patients while performing cleaning duties.
  • Familiarity with handling and disposing of infectious waste appropriately.
  • Experience in snow removal, trash collection, and maintaining clear walkways.
  • Knowledge of using and mixing cleaning chemicals or solvents.
  • Experience operating manual or powered equipment for cleaning tasks.
Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will necessitate a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position is subject to the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act, requiring satisfactory criminal history reports.
