Compensation:
$40,000 / year, commensurate with experience.

Role Overview:The Terminal Supervisor is tasked with managing intermodal operations, maintenance, and related administrative duties to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance profitability. The supervisor must be prepared to work various shifts as our operations run continuously throughout the year.

Key Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • In-depth knowledge of the railroad sector through vocational training, apprenticeships, or relevant work experience.
  • Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including effective employee training and a solid understanding of labor agreements, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist in supervising team members to ensure all tasks are performed in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Conduct training sessions on topics such as hazardous materials handling, employee onboarding, quality enhancement, and technology usage.
  • Engage in union negotiations and address grievances.
  • Collaborate with fellow managers and staff to develop and implement policies, procedures, objectives, and goals.
  • Oversee operations to ensure compliance with administrative policies, safety regulations, labor contracts, and legal requirements.
  • Encourage safe work practices by performing safety audits, participating in safety meetings, and engaging with staff.
  • Direct staff activities related to equipment, vehicle, and facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Investigate accidents to identify causes and enhance safety protocols.
  • Review financial data to create strategies for increasing profitability and improving service quality.
  • Establish operational policies and safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
