Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Dietitian I PRN at TriStar Food & Nutrition is a skilled professional with a Bachelor’s degree or higher. This position is responsible for conducting assessments, implementing interventions, and overseeing the monitoring and evaluation of patients through the Nutrition Care Process. A strong emphasis is placed on delivering exceptional service to all patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize nutrition screening tools to identify patients at nutritional risk.
  • Implement the Nutrition Care Process for patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.
  • Develop nutrition assessments and care plans for patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Provide nutrition counseling for both inpatients and outpatients as required.
  • Adhere to evidence-based nutrition care guidelines and departmental protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian status within six months of hire required.
  • State licensure as a Dietitian within six months of hire required.
  • Maintenance of a professional portfolio with at least 75 CEUs within a five-year period required.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate competency in specific areas as outlined in the Competency Checklist.
  • Meet performance goals established annually.
  • Integrate ethical practices in all areas of work, adhering to confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Support the mission and values of the facility.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
