As a Practical Tech with OrthoArizona, you'll be part of a team that's passionate about innovation, research, and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure equipment is in working order and maintain radiology supplies.
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions.
  • Complete X-Ray orders and protect patients from radiation exposure.
  • Document patient care services and import outside imaging to our PACS system.
  • Produce CDs of office images for patients and providers.
  • Scan documents into our EMR system.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
  • Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Check in outside imaging and maintain accurate QC logs and service records.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of radiology equipment and anatomy.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs and electronic medical record software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an approved American College of Radiology Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • Certificate of Limited Scope of Medical Imaging Modality by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
  • Arizona State license of Limited Scope Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners.
  • Maintain CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of radiology experience, preferably in a busy orthopedic practice or hospital.
