Job Overview

Human Powered Health LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiologist to lead our Performance Lab in Exercise Physiology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, growing the lab, and managing a team of physiologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and grow the Performance Lab.
  • Drive revenue and manage costs for the market, owning the market profits and loss statement.
  • Supervise, manage, and motivate a team of physiologists.
  • Perform physiological assessments with clients, including exercise program design, fitness testing, and data interpretation.
  • Develop and maintain a network of specialists in coaching, sports psychology, nutrition, and physical therapy to refer clients.
  • Conduct consultations for clients, including needs analysis and goal setting.
  • Educate athletes/clients on clinically proven health and fitness information.

Requirements:

  • Master's or PhD in Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, or closely related field.
  • Current knowledge and industry standards of excellence in exercise testing, exercise prescription, and body composition.
  • Practical experience with cardiopulmonary exercise testing, DXA scans, force plates, gait analysis, and Wingate testing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership and/or managerial experience.
  • DXA certified.
  • Public speaking, technical writing, and lecture development skills.
  • Certifications from National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), or equivalent.
