The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) is seeking a highly skilled Research Professional to join our team. As a Research Professional, you will work closely with Professor Christopher Blattman to design and implement research projects in development economics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct advanced empirical and theoretical work on topics such as violence prevention, organized crime, and development economics.
- Collaborate with researchers to design and implement research projects, including data cleaning and analysis.
- Assist in drafting, fact-checking, and proof-reading papers and reports.
- Develop literature reviews and contribute to the development of research proposals.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related field with strong quantitative and programming skills.
- Experience in research environments, with proven analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and compelling written materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
J-PAL is a global research center that aims to reduce poverty by ensuring that policy and programs are based on scientific evidence.
