Psychiatric Care Specialist

Sun River Health is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at our Fountain House location in Manhattan.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide high-quality psychiatric services to patients within the Article 31 of Sun River Health. This includes providing direct patient care, collaborating with psychiatric nurse practitioners, and participating in the development of clinical systems to ensure the provision of care for all clients in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provides direct patient psychiatric care according to professional guidelines and best practices.
- Maintains collaborative agreements with psychiatric nurse practitioners.
- Participates in the development of clinical systems that assure the provision of care for all clients in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Participates in developing plans of care for clients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Maintains liaison with other departments/disciplines relating to the provision of psychiatric care.
- Consults with Administration, Nursing, Social Work, and Substance Abuse Services to evaluate the facility's ability to meet the psycho-social needs of the client.
- Provides for appropriate psychiatric educational programs for mental health and medical staff and participates in in-service training within organizations.
- Provides patient advocacy.
- Participates in continuing education programs appropriate to the practice.
- Maintains confidential case records, medical charts, and files pertaining to the resident/client.

- Is able to communicate and provide care in Spanish preferred.
- Doctorate Degree (including M.D., D.O., D.D., PhD., etc.)
- License to practice Medicine in New York State
- Minimum Related Work Experience: 2-4 years
$96,750 - $118,250/yearly *Depending on specialty
