About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant II to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Assist physicians with patient examinations and treatments, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
    • Update patient records and maintain accurate documentation of medical information.
    • Administer medications and perform routine patient tests, such as electrocardiograms and specimen collection.
    • Monitor patients' overall physical health and report any abnormal findings to physicians.
  • Administrative Support
    • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and staff.
    • Assist with staff training and mentoring, promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
    • Conduct patient interviews to obtain medical information and document it in their medical history.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Participate in team huddles and meetings to promote productivity and collaboration.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance patient care and staff efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications
    • Active certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from a recognized certifying organization.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
