Studdard Moving Group is seeking a skilled Mover/Packer to join our team. As a Mover/Packer, you will be responsible for loading and unloading furniture, driving trucks to specified destinations, and ensuring a smooth relocation process.
Key Responsibilities- Load and unload furniture from trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Drive trucks to loading points and consult with householders on furniture to be moved.
- Follow established procedures for packing and unpacking, including special handling and labeling of fragile items.
- Provide directions to customers on moving articles to the truck.
- Load trucks efficiently, distributing weight evenly and utilizing space.
- Unload cargo at destinations and obtain customer signatures or collect payment for services.
- Remove window frames and erect block and tackle on houses to remove bulky items.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of related training and/or experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience with tools and power tools.
- Good decision-making skills.
- Ability to perform job with limited supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
