Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team at the University of Iowa's College of Public Health. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of research projects, providing support in data collection, data management, and research protocol development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation and evaluation of research projects, including data collection and data management activities.
  • Support the development of research protocols and study designs, including the coordination of data tracking systems and preparing reports for community and professional audiences.
  • Conduct statistical analysis of collected project data, including quantitative and qualitative data sets.
  • Assist in the coordination of presentations for scientific and professional meetings and conferences.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of research assistants, graduate assistants, and volunteers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel in Iowa, valid US driving license, and the ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Program driving standards.
  • Some previous experience and knowledge of behavior change interventions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's in Public Health.
  • Previous experience supervising.
