POSITION SUMMARY

  • Accountable for executing mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols for patient safety and care. Reports to: Radiology Manager or Mammography Coordinator.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
  • Must meet MQSA qualifications to perform Mammography.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • ARRT License is required (Mammogram Certification preferred).
  • Active State License as a Diagnostic Radiographer is required.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient understanding of mammography equipment, procedures, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
  • Expertise in patient positioning techniques.
  • Strong keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and standardized practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail during diagnostic procedures.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING

Compensation is determined based on various factors, including job classification, internal equity, skill set, experience, and responsibilities.
