Mammography Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Ascension Via Christi St. Teresa Clinic in Wichita, KS. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities:

* Provide mammography imaging services to patients
* Operate equipment and perform various mammography-related procedures
* Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately
* Explain procedures and educate patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health
* Develop and evaluate film for technical quality, including density, contrast, definition, and distortion
* Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
* Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS
* Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and film storage areas

Requirements:

* BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
* Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts within 3 months of hire date
* Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 3 months of hire date
* Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 15 months of hire date
* High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
