  • Patient Engagement: Welcome all patients entering the facility and provide guidance regarding their accounts, demographics, and insurance details.
  • Check-In Procedures:
    • For returning patients: Confirm their Primary Care Physician and pharmacy details, and assist them with the patient kiosk.
    • For new patients: Input their Primary Care Physician information, scan identification and insurance cards, and guide them through the patient kiosk process.
    • Ensure identification is scanned for all patients not already in the system.
    • For minors, enter the guarantor information as required.
    • Facilitate the signing of beneficiary forms for Medicare/Medicaid patients on an annual basis, documenting the date signed in the system.
  • Kiosk Assistance: Provide support to patients using the check-in kiosk.
  • Documentation: Complete school and work excuse forms as necessary.
  • Appointment Management: Assist in contacting patients to reschedule or cancel appointments based on reminders.
  • Schedule Coordination: Help reschedule appointments due to changes in physician availability.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with colleagues at the front desk to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communication: Regularly check and respond to voicemail messages.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the lobby is tidy before leaving and secure all entrances.
  • Walk-In Appointments: Facilitate appointments for walk-in patients as needed.
  • Mail Management: Sort incoming mail and packages, directing them to the Office Manager for further processing.
  • Insurance Verification: Conduct daily checks on insurance visits, particularly Medicaid.
  • Daily Operations: Sign in to tablets in the morning and ensure they are charged and cleaned at the end of the day.
  • Issue Reporting: Notify the Office Manager of any operational issues as they arise.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as assigned by management or physicians.
  • Collaboration: This role requires effective communication and teamwork with another front desk staff member.
