Job Summary:

Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is seeking a highly qualified Academic Anatomic Pathologist to join our team at University Hospital in Newark. As a faculty member in the Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine, you will be responsible for performing surgical pathology laboratory services, consulting with clinical staff, and participating in educational programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform surgical pathology laboratory services, including grossing and microscopic examination of tissues
  • Consult with clinical staff to provide diagnostic and prognostic information
  • Participate in educational programs, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Engage in productive research activities, including the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches
Requirements:
  • MD, DO, or MBBS degree
  • Board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP or AP
  • Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and academic experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in autopsy and/or cytopathology
