As an Environmental Specialist IV, you will leverage your functional and technical expertise in air, water, and waste management. This position involves managing projects and programs of moderate complexity that necessitate specialized knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain environmental processes and policies, providing expert guidance.
  • Evaluate environmental risks, offer recommendations for mitigation, and oversee the execution of approved actions, including necessary regulatory documentation.
  • Engage in environmental project planning and execution, which includes scheduling, cost estimation, and preparation of environmental impact assessments and reports.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues.
  • Prepare and submit complex applications for environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other authorizations, collaborating with company partners.
  • Conduct environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations as required.
  • Identify training needs related to environmental practices and deliver training sessions.
  • Propose and implement enhancements for systems and practices in air, water, waste management, and remediation activities for assigned areas.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary compliance reports and certifications, maintaining documentation related to environmental compliance programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Environmental Specialist III:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four (4) years of environmental experience.
Environmental Specialist IV:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of environmental experience.
Additional Requirements:
  • Exhibit excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, prioritizing safety.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and possess strong PC skills.
