Position Overview

This full-time, on-site position for a Manufacturing Planner at KL Engineering, Inc. entails overseeing production planning, communication, and operational management tasks. The role encompasses a comprehensive approach to project management, from initial estimation to final shipping, ensuring all phases are executed efficiently. This position requires collaboration with various teams, both internal and external, to facilitate seamless manufacturing operations, optimize production schedules, manage resources effectively, and relay updates to all relevant stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a dynamic environment. They will possess a proven history of fulfilling responsibilities effectively, showcasing a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications

  • Prior experience in manufacturing planning or operations within a machine shop or fabrication environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of standard manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Experience in planning and managing manufacturing projects using commercial ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with estimating processes for custom-manufactured components.
  • Experience in managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) for complex assemblies.
  • Proficiency in purchasing both standard and custom components, along with vendor management.
  • Exceptional project and program management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply past experiences to new challenges.
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management skills, focusing on value-added tasks.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Commitment to applying diligence and rigor to all tasks in alignment with company objectives.
  • Experience supporting both high-mix low-volume and higher-volume production projects, consistently achieving quality outcomes efficiently.
