Job Title: Batching Supervisor

At Niagara Bottling, we're seeking a highly skilled Batching Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production floor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Batching Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Assist with batching and prepare production lines for scheduled changeovers.
  • Verify discrete jobs in Oracle, Warehouse Management System, and Line Management System to ensure accuracy.
  • Support the Production Supervisor with hourly and end-of-shift production reports.
  • Utilize Efficiency Improvement Tools to identify and address line downtime and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with team members through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment.
  • Coach and develop team members, make employment decisions, and resolve conflicts through conflict resolution.
  • Order and inspect raw materials prior to changeovers to ensure correct inventories for production runs.
  • Perform first-pass quality checks after changeovers to prevent non-conforming product.
  • Conduct walkthroughs throughout the shift to ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping compliance by team members.
  • Interface with multiple departments to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership and shift team members to champion a world-class safety culture.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of production processes and controls.
  • Preferred qualifications include 6 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment, with a focus on managing people and projects.

Education:
  • Minimum required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration, or related fields.
Certification/License:
  • Required: N/A.
  • Preferred: SQF, HACCP, GMP.
