Job Overview

Position Summary: The Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the Manufacturing and Packaging processes. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Management team, this position is dedicated to providing daily Quality Assurance support on-site. The inspector is expected to maintain a consistent presence on the production floor and be readily available to assist with production processes in designated areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Quality Assurance oversight in production zones through the execution of Product Packaging lines, Product Manufacturing Processes, room clearances, and the release of sanitized equipment/rooms/areas, along with in-process inspections across all manufacturing areas.
  • Contribute to the revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with work requirements in the facility or process.
  • Assist in investigating deviations and discrepancies.
  • Review pest control and environmental monitoring systems.
  • Issue labels and other printed materials in accordance with the current production schedule.
  • Help identify minor and major errors and deficiencies in batch records.
  • Organize tasks to meet daily objectives without errors or deficiencies.
  • Address issues that may impact product quality, safety, and purity.
  • Support Quality Assurance management in the daily operations of the QA Hold area.
  • Prepare comprehensive End of Day reports detailing daily activities, issues encountered, and actions taken.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Complete training on all SOPs, safety protocols, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) as required.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Perform additional assigned duties and adhere to verbal and written instructions from supervisors or designated personnel related to achieving company objectives.
  • Foster effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments to promote a positive work atmosphere.

Collaboration: This position will work closely with:

  • Manufacturing and Packaging Operators
  • Quality Assurance team members (QA team lead, QA Management, QC, Label Issuance, Quality Assurance Document Specialist)
  • Safety, Security, and Environmental Services Departments
  • Training Department
  • Supply Chain Team
  • Product Development

Minimum Qualifications: The Quality Control Inspector should possess a minimum of two years of experience in a regulated environment such as pharmaceuticals, food, or dietary supplements. Experience in auditing and troubleshooting is advantageous.

A strong work ethic and enthusiasm are essential. A detail-oriented and team-focused approach is required. Proficiency in general software applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, is necessary.

The ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required. Personal Protective Equipment must be worn, and all relevant written and verbal instructions and procedures must be followed.


Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
