At Knute Nelson, we are committed to enriching the lives of everyone we serve. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in our Waite Park Home Health division, providing high-quality speech therapy services to our clients.
Scope of the PositionAs a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for organizing, developing, and directing speech therapy services in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as Knute Nelson's policies and procedures. You will ensure that the highest degree of quality care, customer service, fiscal responsibility, and regulatory compliance is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate clients and develop treatment plans and programs, including short-term and long-term goals, in accordance with physician orders.
- Provide quality care that assists clients to meet their goals and complete re-evaluations as required.
- Document services rendered accurately and timely using our agency's EMR system.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, referral sources, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Recommend and assure continuation of appropriate therapeutic/therapist follow-up programs and activities.
- Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Minnesota.
- Obtain CPR certification within 6 months from date of hire.
- Valid driver's license and use of an insured personal vehicle.
- Complete and pass a state required background study.
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing to the extent required by the position.
- Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
