About the Opportunity

Leidos is seeking a Data Center Operations Specialist to support the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) in Bethesda, MD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining all data center operations, ensuring compliance with established processes and standards.

This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. If you have experience working in an Agile framework, managing hardware configuration baselines, and collaborating with stakeholders to define processes and standards, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor data center activities to ensure compliance with established processes and standards
  • Track and report data center resource consumption, including power, cooling, and rack space
  • Coordinate access and logistic support for data center operations
  • Communicate maintenance intervals to affected stakeholders
  • Follow established data center procedures and processes
  • Establish new or modify existing procedures and processes for efficiency
  • Manage and coordinate the installation and maintenance of data center equipment
  • Ensure compliance with data center security protocols
  • Prepare reports on data center operations
  • Maintain data center documentation, including maintenance verification documents, technical drawings, and procurement documentation
  • Supervise vendors and subcontractors supporting data center operations
  • Control data center stocks, including fiber, patch panels, and connectors
  • Responsible for racking and stacking of servers and related devices
  • Design and implement server technologies in environments with multiple configurations
  • Assist in performing root cause analysis for operational issues
  • Ensure safety for personnel and equipment on-site
  • Provide data center support 24/7 to respond to emergency incidents

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience supervising others
  • DOD 8570.11-IAT Level II certification requirements met (Security+, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP along with an appropriate computing environment (CE) certification)

Salary Range

$89,700 - $162,150 per year

The salary range provided is a general guideline only and may vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement, or other law.
