Child Transportation Coordinator

Position Summary
The Child Transportation Coordinator is responsible for assisting the transportation driver in the safe pick-up and drop-off of children. This role requires effective communication with families, colleagues, and children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years old. The coordinator will ensure that children are securely fastened in their car seats or van seats during transit. The position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, with hours varying based on the selected schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure children are properly buckled and unbuckled
- Secure children in their car seats for safe travel
- Maintain accurate attendance records for children on the transportation route
- Communicate clearly and effectively with families and staff
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Completion of car seat and seatbelt safety training
- Certification in CPR and first aid
- Training as a mandated reporter
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working with children aged 6 months to 12 years
